ビヨンセと息子の誕生日を祝うスティービー・ワンダー

今日は労働者の日（Labor Day：9月の第一月曜日）で日本のメーデーに当たり、カナダは祝日。昨日は日中３５℃を超える猛暑だったと思えば、今日は17℃とすっかり秋の気候となった。

先日、たったの２０ドル（１５００円）で買ったばかりの"insignia"のスピーカーの音が思った以上によく、音楽を聴いていた。

昨日は、私の大好きな歌手ビヨンセさんの30歳のお誕生日。私とは一日違い。なんとなく曲の趣味が合うのはそのせい？（笑）彼女のお誕生日を祝って彼女の曲の中でも特に私が好きな曲"Wishing on a star"を紹介させていただきたい。彼女の声を聴くとアルファ波が湧き出てくるのがわかる（笑）。歌詞の和訳は次ページへ。

9月4日は、ちょうどスティービー・ワンダーの息子さん（何人目の息子？）の誕生日でもあり、スティービー・ワンダーが3日、キュラソー・ノース・シー・ジャズ・フェスティバル（Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival）でビヨンセと息子の誕生日を祝った。

プログラムを見ると、スティービー・ワンダーの他、アース・ウィンド＆ファイアーやスティングなど豪華メンバーが勢ぞろいのジャズフェスティバルだったようだ。いつかは行ってみたい。

ウィキペディアによると、キュラソー島（クラサオ島、Curaçao）は、ベネズエラの北約60kmのカリブ海に位置するオランダ自治領の島で、面積は448km²。人口173.400人（2006年）で、主都はウィレムスタッド。キュラソーとはポルトガル語で「聖心」という意味だそうだ。写真や動画を見ると、地上の楽園のように美しい島だ。
